This page consists on my favorite projects that I have done over the past few months. Each project is pretty cheap and very simple to do!

This is one of my first projects and I have to say my absolute favorite. It's really simple and easy to do, but what I love about it is the text inside the heart is the lyrics of my favorite song (Wonderwall by Oasis). For this project all you need is a picture frame, glue (if you want to create a design on the frame like I did), any color of paint, and something to put in the shape. It could be a picture, song lyrics, favorite quotes, etc. I chose a heart for my shape using Microsoft Word but there are other shapes to choose from. I then changed the color of some words to make the picture stand out a little more. This project only costs around ten dollars but it can be very meaningful and fun to create!

This next little project is fun because I get to bring out my inner child. I saw on Pinterest a DIY chalkboard and I thought that was so neat! All you need is chalkboard paint (which comes in multiple colors) and an object or area that you want to turn into a chalkboard. As you can probably tell by now I love heart shapes so I bought this little wooden heart for my chalkboard. I painted the board, waited twenty-four hours then started using it as a reminder of different things like "Be Positive". I also doodle on it from time to time. This is another very simple project that loads of fun and will only cost about eight dollars! Score!

This last project was bigger on scale, but still pretty simple and not expensive. I have had my night stand ever since I was about eleven. It was very girly looking with little pink flowers all over. Now for an eleven year old that great, but being nineteen I wanted something a little more mature and something that would match my room better. I decided to go with a vintage/distressed look. I bought some light purple paint, and a lot of sand paper for this. I started of by sanding the whole dresser, and getting rid of the pink flowers. I then painted both coats (I painted the drawers separately from the dresser) and waited till it was completely dry to start sanding off some of the paint. I started by sanding the corners and edges where paint color would normally start deteriorating. I also sanded in some random spots just to give it a more "distressed look". After completely tiring my arms out I ended up with this! I still need to change the nobs but overall I love this look and I feel it is way more mature than what I had before. The upcycling for this project cost me closer to fifteen dollars but was well worth it for the vintage look!
