Thrift Store Find!

So being as frugal as I am, I love going to thrift stores/flea markets and finding different things I can upcycle. I usually limit myself to a ten dollar budget which might not seem like a lot, but you would be amazed at what you can find for ten dollars or less. Today while doing my usual browsing I came across this unique I guess you could say fake light fixture?

I'm not quite sure what drew me to this piece but I felt with some cleaning and a little paint this could be a really nice wall decor. I got this piece for only five dollars which was a total steal! I picked up some white spray paint from the craft store and started spraying!

Before Spray Painting

During First Coat

First Coat (A little white but definitely needs a second coat)

Second Coat (All done!)

I painted one coat, waited a half an hour, then painted the next coat. Be sure when spray painting to paint about ten inches away to avoid bubbles and make sure to paint all of the corners and crevices. I waited twenty-four hours before hanging this piece on my wall to make sure it was completely dry and no longer smelled. This is the finished product! Total cost: 9 dollars. :)
