So for the past week or so, I have been buying supplies and started building a reading nook for my room. I start my second year of college in a week and I thought have a reading nook would be great for doing homework or just needing some quiet space. This project is a little more hefty on the budget (probably will spend around 80 dollars in total), but comparing that to buying a reading nook it's pretty cheap!
Supplies Needed:
- Four wooden pallets (I chose quarter pallets to fit my room better but you can use regular pallets as well)
- Paint
- Fabric and Batting
- Foam
- Wood plank
I received the two wooden pallets I ordered yesterday from Home Depot (I still have to order two more), and bought some white acrylic paint. The reason I chose white paint for this is because I hung my fake lamp fixture my above my nook to give it a nice vintage feel. I painted my two pallets and placed them in my room and now my next step is to getting the foam, batting, and a wooden plank. Once I have all those supplies I will upholster the bed part for the nook. Hopefully I can get everything done before I start school back up again! I keep updating on my progress!
